Clergy and laity delgates from diocesan parishes gathered with Archbishop Michael to discern the Lord's will in setting a course for the diocese and ensuring good order in all things, both spiritual and administrative. The passage of a revised Diocesan By-laws and a 2018 Budget were among the matters unanimously adopted. Next year's Assembly will gather in Brick NJ on 31 October 2018.</span></p></div> Diocese of New York-New Jersey http://nynjoca.org/news_171107_1.html MEMORY ETERNAL: Father Stephen Mack http://nynjoca.org/news_171023_1.html Mon, 23 Oct 2017 00:00:00 -0400 <div><img border="1" hspace="5" vspace="0" align="left" src="https://nynjoca.org/display_image.php?ext=jpg&relativeimage=images/events/2017/Auburn/FrStephenMack_BANNER.jpg&archive=0&final_h=45&final_w=90&percent=100"><p style="text-align: justify; line-height: 190%; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: medium;">On Sunday morning, October 22, 2017, <strong>Archpriest Stephen Mack</strong>, long-time Rector of Saint Nicholas Church in Auburn NY, fell asleep in the Lord. <span style="color: #993300;">See "more information" for the schedule of services.</span> <strong><em>May the memory of Father Stephen be eternal, and may his familiy and parishioners be comforted by the hope of the Resurrection through our prayers!</em></strong></span></p></div> Diocese of New York-New Jersey http://nynjoca.org/news_171023_1.html JERSEY CITY NJ: Historic Church Celebrates 110th Anniversary http://nynjoca.org/news_171020_1.html Fri, 20 Oct 2017 00:00:00 -0400 <div><img border="1" hspace="5" vspace="0" align="left" src="https://nynjoca.org/display_image.php?ext=jpg&relativeimage=images/events/2017/Jersey-City/Jersey_City_110thAnn_004.jpg&archive=0&final_h=45&final_w=90&percent=100"><p style="text-align: justify; line-height: 190%; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: medium;">On Sunday, 24 September 2017, <strong>Saints Peter &amp; Paul Church in Jersey City NJ</strong> celebrated its 110th Parish Anniversary.
