His Grace, Bishop Michael, visited Saint Vladimir's Seminary in Crestwood NY for the commemoration of "Lazarus Saturday" and celebrated the Divine Liturgy during which he ordained William Seraphim Joa to the diaconate.

Deacon William Seraphim Joa and his wife, Julie, have one married son and two grandchildren.  He is “twice retired” and a second-year Master of Divinity student. After graduation from Saint Vladimir's Seminary he would like to return to his home parish (Holy Trinity, East Meadow NY) to serve as needed.
