On the evening of September 11, 2011 parishioners of three churches (Holy Spirit Church, Wantage NJ ~ Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Middletown NY ~ Saint Ignatius Orthodox Mission, Florida NY), gathered with local firefighters from Unionville NY & Franklin NJ and area residents to celebrate a 10th anniversary memorial service for the victims of the 9/11 attack on America.

Those gathered prayerfully remembered the first-responders, firefighters, policemen, and medical personnel who lost their lives at the World Trade Center (NYC), the Pentagon (Arlington VA/Washington DC), and Shanksville PA.

The choir prayerfully and beautifully sang the responses and was led by Mrs. Joanne Patrick. Concelebrating priests were: Archpriest Samuel Kedala (Holy Spirit Church), Priest Christos Talleos (Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church), and Archpriest George Kevorkian (Saint Ignatius Antiochian Orthodox Mission). Father Samuel Kedala offered a homily and comments were made by Father George Kevorkian.

Light refreshments were served by the parish and a wonderful fellowship followed.
