The oldest parish church in the Diocese of New York & New Jersey, Saints Peter & Paul in Buffalo NY, will celebrate a 120th Anniversary on 27-28 September. “OPERATION BUFFALO” (1-13 August 2011) was a major diocesan-wide effort launched by Bishop Michael to rejuvenate and reinvigorate this older and struggling parish; dozens of faithful workers and laborers assembled from the lengths and breadths of the diocese to patch, paint, rebuild, and clean the massive church, huge hall, and parish rectory. Since then, the parish has welcomed Father Volodymyr (parish rector) and Matushka Jeanne Zablotskyy, and the renewed work of becoming a loving, welcoming, worshipping, and growing community of faith began ... and now continues with great fervor and dedication!
