Saint Basil’s Orthodox Church in Watervliet NY  held its annual family picnic on Sunday, 13 September. The picnic was sponsored by the men’s club of the parish on the grounds of the Maplewood Volunteer Fire Department. Parishioners, families, and friends were welcomed to the picnic attended by approximately 60 people. The weather was a perfect fall day and the food was cooked to perfection with friendship and fellowship abounding.

“We give our thanks to all who worked at the picnic and behind the scenes to make this event one to remember,” said Father Peter Olsen (parish rector). “A good time was had by all!”
