NY STATE DEANERY

The clergy of the New York State Deanery joined Archbishop Michael on 14 April 2016 for the celebration of the Liturgy of the Pre-Sanctified Gifts, lunch, and their annual meeting. The event was hosted by the parishioners of Saints Peter & Paul Church in Syracuse NY, where His Eminence will deliver a Lenten Retreat on Saturday (“Insights into the Great & Holy Council of the Orthodox Church in 2016”). He will then travel 88 miles west to Saint John the Baptist Church in Rochester NY for a Saturday evening through Sunday morning Archpastoral visit.

As he travels with great regularity throughout the diocese visiting nearly 60 parish communities, Archbishop Michael covers the territory of his diocese:  444 miles from north to south and 440 miles from east to west, an area of 63,285 square miles.
