Spring Update from St. Andrew’s Camp – May 2025

Christ is Risen!

As spring unfolds, St. Andrew’s Camp is preparing for another joyful summer season. The old dining hall and recreation center have been transformed into a maintenance and storage facility, thanks to dedicated volunteers. Campers have contributed too — building a kayak rack and enjoying campfires by the newly painted boathouse mural.

On Bright Saturday, April 26, Archbishop Michael celebrated the Paschal Divine Liturgy with over 70 clergy and faithful at the annual Open House, officially opening the 2025 camp season. At the Camp’s Annual Meeting in March, a plan was approved to dedicate camp buildings to saints, including St. Michael, St. Olga of Alaska, St. Herman of Alaska, and St. Seraphim of Sarov, with dedications scheduled for November 1.

Recent events included a Lenten Women’s Retreat led by Mother Melania and a “Spaghetti and Song” fundraiser in Endicott, which raised $7,500. A camper’s reflection from a 2024 service project beautifully captured the transformative spiritual impact of service.

Upcoming volunteer work weekends are scheduled for May 23–24 and June 13–15. All are welcome to help with cleaning, repairs, gardening, and more. Volunteers will be offered lodging, meals, and evening campfires.

Support the Camp by donating through GiveButter, the camp website, or by mail. For alumni outreach, fundraiser ideas, or more information, visit the website or follow on Facebook and Instagram.
