[Watervliet, NY] - Hannah Holowach, a parishioner of St. Basil’s Orthodox Church in Watervliet, NY, has been awarded a prestigious U.S. Navy ROTC scholarship. This scholarship will fully cover the remaining three years of her college education.
In addition to her academic studies, Hannah will have the opportunity to spend time aboard a U.S. Navy ship with an aviation squadron over the next two summers, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Hannah is currently a second-year student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY, and an active member of the Navy ROTC program. In the accompanying photo, her commanding officer, Captain Latta, is seen administering the oath of office as part of the scholarship award ceremony.
We congratulate Hannah on this outstanding achievement and commend her commitment to service.
