[Endicott, NY] - On August 15 and 16, 2026, for the Feast of the Image of Christ Not Made by Hands, His Eminence Archbishop Michael made an archpastoral visit to Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Endicott, New York, presiding at Vespers and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.

Concelebrating with His Eminence at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy were Archpriest Alexey Karlgut, parish rector and Dean of New York State; Archpriest Timothy Holowatch, parish cleric; and Deacon Mark Bohush, cleric of Saint Athanasius Chapel in Bronxville, New York, together with a host of subdeacons and altar servers. Also praying in the church was Archpriest Dennis Hendershot, retired parish cleric. The choir was directed by Matushka Tatiana Khalimonova.

During his homily, Archbishop Michael presented the parish with a newly consecrated and blessed Antimension containing a relic of Saint Basil Martysz. In addition, a relic of Saint Olga of Kwethluk and Alaska was presented to the parish. His Eminence explained to the faithful the meaning of the Antimension and its importance in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. He also gave a brief account of the life and work of Saint Olga, touching upon her service as a Matushka and midwife in Kwethluk.

Following the prayer before the Ambo, Father Alexey served a Litiya commemorating the sixth anniversary of the repose of his beloved Matushka Anastasia.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, in recognition of his 50 years of priestly service, Archbishop Michael presented Father Dennis with a Synodal Gramota and wished many years to Father Dennis and Matushka Helene as they continue their life and service together.

The parish subdeacons and altar servers presented His Eminence with a new Panagia set as a gift.

Following the Divine Liturgy, all gathered in the church hall to break bread and share a festive meal together.

Glory to God for all things!
