St. Innocent Orthodox Mission in Oneonta, NY, recently received an extraordinary $100,000 (one hundred thousand dollars) gift from a donor through a private foundation, enabling the mission to purchase a church building that will become its permanent home.
The generous donation marks a significant milestone in the life and growth of the mission, providing the faithful of St. Innocent Mission in Oneonta, NY, with a church of their own in which to worship and continue building their Orthodox Christian community.
His Eminence Archbishop Michael and the Diocese of New York and New Jersey join the faithful of St. Innocent Mission in giving thanks to God for this remarkable act of generosity and for this important new chapter in the life of the mission.
Special gratitude and appreciation are extended to the Orthodox Institute for Missions and its Director of Philanthropic Initiatives, Presbytera Maria Koulianos, for facilitating and making possible this wonderful gift.
May God richly bless Presbytera Maria for her efforts on behalf of St. Innocent Mission and grant her many years!
