Skaneateles Lake NY

On Saturday, 11 August, several Matushki (wives of priests/deacons) of the New York State Deanery enjoyed a 2-hour boat cruise upon the sparkling bluish-green waters of Skaneateles Lake. One of the extraordinary lakes of the world renowned Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, glacier formed Lake Skaneateles boasts spring fed crystal clear waters and breathtaking views.

Highlighting the scenic beauty unique to Upstate New York, the pleasurable tour featured a freshly prepared four-course luncheon served table-side as the attentive crew highlighted historical sights and the many luxurious homes and cottages which adorn the shores of the lake.

“We are thankful for God’s blessings of picture perfect weather and joy-filled fellowship,” said Matushka Natalie Stavrevsky of Rochester NY. “After spending two hours sharing, visiting and laughing together in the most relaxing of settings, we all came to the realization that more opportunities to gather must be planned.  Our heartfelt thanks to Father John and Matushka Joanna Bohush, who planned and made this wonderful excursion possible!”
