Family Week at Saint Andrew's Camp was a beautiful reminder that some of life's greatest blessings are found in simply being together.
Throughout the week, families stepped away from the busyness of everyday life to worship, learn, laugh, play, and grow together. Daily services, religious education, and the celebration of the Divine Liturgy with His Eminence, Archbishop Michael, kept Christ at the center of everything. Campers also enjoyed kayaking, swimming, crafts, sports, campfires, games, and plenty of time to relax and connect with one another.
A highlight of the week was the annual question-and-answer session with Archbishop Michael. Families were grateful for the opportunity to spend time with their hierarch, asking questions, receiving pastoral guidance, and deepening their understanding of the Orthodox faith.
Special events added even more excitement to the week. Family Week began with an Around the World Party featuring international music, dancing, games, and food. The camp's dedicated kitchen staff prepared an outstanding menu of delicious dishes from around the globe. Later in the week, campers celebrated our nation's 250th anniversary with a festive "Americarnival," complete with carnival games, music, face painting, balloon creations, and a spectacular fireworks finale.
Perhaps the greatest joy of Family Week is seeing friendships deepen, families create lasting memories, and everyone leave spiritually refreshed. We are grateful to every family, volunteer, clergy member, and staff member whose dedication made this week so memorable, and we pray that the peace and joy experienced at Saint Andrew's Camp will remain with all who attended throughout the coming year.
Glory to God for all things!
