Sports Week at Saint Andrew’s Camp was filled with energy, laughter, friendly competition, and countless opportunities for campers to grow in faith and friendship. From the moment everyone arrived, campers were introduced to camp life and invited to take part in a week that kept both bodies and spirits active.

Each day began and ended in prayer, with Matins, Vespers, religious education, and evening prayers providing a steady rhythm amid the excitement. Campers also enjoyed a special visit from His Eminence Archbishop Michael, who celebrated the Divine Liturgy and spent time answering their questions. His presence offered the children a meaningful opportunity to learn, reflect, and speak directly with their hierarch about faith and life.

The week’s schedule was packed with all-camp sports, electives, swimming, field time, tie-dyeing, and the much-anticipated Camp World Cup. Campers also had a field trip to Green Lakes State Park, where they enjoyed swimming and hiking while taking in the beautiful views. One hot afternoon, they cooled off with a very wet—and very memorable—game of Capture the Flag.

Campers got up and active most days with morning warm-ups. Throughout the week, soccer, basketball, kickball, volleyball, and more, along with kayaking, fishing, campfires, indoor games, and plenty of spontaneous fun, rounded out the days.

Of course, Sports Week was about much more than winning. Campers encouraged their teammates, tried new activities, practiced good sportsmanship, and discovered that some of the best moments happen when everyone works together. Whether competing on the field, sharing a meal, singing around the campfire, or talking with friends at the end of the day, they strengthened the bonds that make camp such a special place.

We are grateful for every camper, counselor, volunteer, and staff member who helped make Sports Week such a joyful and memorable experience. Glory to God for a week of faith, friendship, adventure, and fun at Saint Andrew’s Camp!
