The parishioners of Saint Basil the Great Orthodox Church in Watervliet NY celebrated their 110th anniversary on Sunday, 23 October 2011.  His Grace, Bishop Michael, celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy assisted by Archpriest Peter Olsen (parish rector), Archpriest Alvian Smirensky, Protodeacon Michael Soloviev, Deacon Matthew Markewich, and Deacon Michael Burdikoff.  At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Diane Rentz was presented an honorary grammata for her dedicated services to the parish.

Following the service a dinner was held at Saint Basil’s Church Center for the faithful of Saint Basil’s Church, visiting clergy, monastics, and parishioners from Saint Nicholas Church (Cohoes NY), Christ the Savior Church (Ballston NY), and Nativity of The Mother of God Church (ROCOR, Albany NY).
