The first of three Parish Council Conferences in the diocese was held on Saturday, 16 June in Clifton NJ.  Nearly 100 participants gathered with Bishop Michael and the conference facilitator, Maureen Jury (Metropolitan Council and Diocese of the South Diocesan Council member). The focus of the conferences is “Financial Stewardship.”  The New York State Deanery will host the second conference on 23 June in Endicott NY, and the New York City Deanery on 24 June in Whitestone NY. All parish council members in the diocese are strongly encouraged to attend; a video of the Endicott conference will be made available on DVD for council members unable to participate.
