Saint Basil’s Orthodox Church in Watervliet NY conducted a Healing Service on Tuesday evening, 13 November 2012. A Molieben (prayers of thanksgiving) to the Most-Holy Theotokos was celebrated by parish rector Father Peter Olsen with responses sung by the parish choir under the direction of Michael Mellin. Approximately 100 people participated, and many faithful brought their neighbors, friends, and acquaintances along with them. Everyone was welcomed!

Prayers were offered for all who attended and for those who had prayer cards submitted in their name by a loved one. At the conclusion of the service all were anointed with blessed healing oil honoring Saint Nektarios.

At the conclusion of the anointing, a fellowship hour was held at the Church Center.
