Supporters of the Distinguished Diocesan Benefactors (DDB) program from throughout the New Jersey Deanery gathered at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church in Clifton NJ on Sunday, 26 January, for an Appreciation Dinner. His Grace, Bishop Michael, expressed his profound gratitude to the individuals, parishes, and parish organizations for their sacrificial giving to the program that allows so many diocesan projects and efforts to exist and produce fruit to the Glory of God.
Archpriest Joseph Lickwar (Diocesan Chancellor) introduced a video that depicted the work accomplished within the diocese during the year 2013. Much of this work is made possible by the generosity of people donating to the DDB. You can view that video by clicking HERE!
Russell Komline, parishioner of Mother of God Church in Princeton NJ, offered a presentation highlighting the progress made by the parish during “OPERATION PRINCETON” in building a new church. He emphasized the cooperative spirit that, on two separate work days, called willing helpers from throughout the diocese to pitch-in with manual labor required for the construction and landscaping.
Bishop Michael presented certificates of gratitude to all who contributed financially to the DDB.
Many thanks to the host parish and its rector, Father Steven Evanina, for their hospitality.
