On 15-16 August 2016, Archbishop Michael made a pastoral visit to Christ the Saviour Parish in Paramus NJ. The parish celebrated the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos (Aug 15th) and, the following day, the patronal feast of the parish: “The Icon not made by hands” sent to heal Abgar of Edessa.
Father Leonid Schmidt (parish rector), Father John Nehrebecki (retried, founding pastor), Father Igor Kseniuk, and Father Matthew Brown celebrated the Divine Liturgy with His Eminence. The choir was directed by Theodora Gramkow.
A celebratory luncheon was prepared and served by the wonderful ladies of the parish. It was an extremely cordial event.
