Jackson NJ
Feast-day Commemoration

An “Old Calendar” commemoration of the feast-day of the Nativity of the Holy Theotokos took place at Saint Mary's Church in Jackson NJ on 20-21 September.  His Grace, Bishop Michael, celebrated the Vigil on Thursday evening and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Friday.  Following the Divine Liturgy, a procession was made around the temple and His Grace offered prayers at the grave of His Eminence, Archbishop Gregory (Afonsky).  A festal banquet followed in Saint Mary's Church hall.

Clergy serving at the Vigil were: Archpriest Samuel Kedala (Dean of New Jersey), Archpriest John Prokopiuk (parish rector), Priest Jason Vansuch (Rector, Saint Vladimir Church, Trenton NJ) and Protodeacon John Morvay. After the vigil a festive meal was served in the newly renovated Church hall.

Clergy serving at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy were: Archpriest Joseph Lickwar (Diocesan Chancellor), Archpriest Samuel Kedala, Archpriest John Prokopiuk, and Protodeacon John Morvay.
