The 3rd annual Saint Andrew's Camp Bike Ride was joined by a “southern team” Walk providing much-need financial support from both states (NY and NJ) comprising the diocese. On Saturday, 23 August, 17 bicyclists and 17 walkers gathered at two ends of the diocese to support the camp. At the camp in upstate NY many of the bicyclists arrived on Friday to enjoy fellowship and a pasta dinner overlooking beautiful Oneida Lake. The next morning, joined by other local riders for a light continental breakfast, they took off on a 12, 30 or 60 mile loop through the beautiful countryside of central NY. The day ended at the camp with a barbeque by the lake.
The “southern team” of walkers started out in Paramus NJ. Having had such great fellowship and fun in a healthy event, they look forward to doing it again next year!
The events raised over $3,000 for the benefit of the camp.
Saint Andrew's Camp is grateful for the commitment and support of the event participants and organizers. “Start peddling now ... and get in shape for the 2015 Bike Ride or Walk!”
