The Vernak family, parishioners, and friends gathered on 17 August 2014 at Christ the Savior Church (Paramus NJ) to celebrate the 40th Wedding Anniversary of Archpriest David and Matushka Mariam Nehrebecki Vernak. A highlight was the attendance of their 6 children and their spouses, and 13 grandchildren. The children presented a memorable slide show, speeches, and other spontaneous remarks about their parents and life in the church. Subsequently, Bishop Michael was present to bless and celebrate the actual anniversary date of their marriage (8 September).
