A group of faithful parishioners at Saint John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Rochester NY, where winters are cold and snowy, gave of their time, talents, and love for others by diligently knitting hats, scarves, afghans, and blankets for the Willow Domestic Violence Center. A letter received from the Center director says: “Thank you for your support to our agency and the important work we do here, 24 hours a day. Together, we can make our community a safer place for everyone. We are especially grateful for your thoughtfulness to check our wish list before donating. We are lucky to be part of such a kind and generous community.” The project coordinators (Ann Michael Henry and Marge Cavalcanti) did a fabulous job along with the many knitters.
