On Sunday, 26 June 2011, at 12:15 p.m. Saint Andrew Orthodox Church (Dix Hills NY) will host a lecture entitled “The Design of the Orthodox Temple and Its Adornment With Holy Icons.” The presenter will be Yani Pavlides, RA, AIA. The lecture is free and open to the public. Members of neighboring parishes are particularly encouraged to join the faithful of Saint Andrew parish as they gather and listen to the lecture which promises to be very instructive in this generally under-explored area of our faith.
