Saint Gregory the Theologian Orthodox Church in Wappingers Falls NY celebrated its 50th Anniversary on 26-27 April 2014.  The joy of this occasion was enriched by the presence of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon (Orthodox Church in America), His Grace, Bishop Michael, and His Grace, Bishop Seraphim (retired, former Bishop of Sendai, Japan) who, together with Father Alexis Vinogradov (parish rector), Father Michael Plekon, visiting clergy, members of the parish and visitors joined together for liturgical services to give thanks to God for half-a-century of blessings bestowed on the parish community.

Clergy and parishioners also gathered at a luncheon on Saturday, 26 April, to share fellowship and express gratitude for the gifts God has enabled them to share with each other over the years, and to honor the founders of the parish whose lives, vision, faith, and tireless devotion burn brightly as examples of life lived in the joy of the Risen Lord.
