At St. Basil’s Church, Watervliet, NY, Sunday, August 9, 2020, the feast of the Glorification of Venerable Herman of Alaska, Sub-deacon Jason Gagnon was ordained Deacon by His Eminence Archbishop Michael. Concelebrating with His Eminence were Archpriest Peter Olsen, Rector; Archpriest Alexey Karlgut, Dean; and Deacon Stephan Karlgut. Deacon Jason and his Matushka Laura have three children, Eleanor, Julian, and Basil. Deacon Jason has been assigned to serve at St. Basil’s where the Gagnon family are parishioners. On the same day Mary Anne Soltis was awarded a Diocesan gramota by Vladika Michael, for her tireless work on behalf of St. Basil’s in all aspects of Church life, wherever help and volunteers are needed. We wish the newly-ordained Deacon Jason, Matushka Laura and their children many years! Axios, Axios, Axios!
